Can I use the Glue Remover on rough or uneven panels?Updated 11 hours ago

Yes — but take care on unsurfaced or uneven boards.

Some woods, especially dimensional pine lumber from lumberyards and home-improvement stores, can be slightly uneven in both thickness and flatness if not surfaced through a planer.

When edge-glued, these panels may not be perfectly flush. In such cases, the corners of the Glue Remover blade might scratch the panel surface during cleanup.

If this happens, the solution is simple: remove the blade and slightly round the corners on a honing stone or with emery paper. You don’t need to make the rounding visible — just enough so that the corners no longer feel sharp to the touch. This prevents scratches while keeping the tool’s effectiveness.
